Job overview and responsibilities:
Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications. Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Assist current development team.
Requires a bachelor's degree or masters or at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Ability to create planning, design, and implementation documents in power point and present them to engineering and management audiences required.
Strong Business Acumen.
Ability to resolve conflict, drives project completion, and collaborates with other teams.
Strong verbal and written skills.
Knowledge and subject matter expertise in various infrastructure products and services including but not limited to: PCI, Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN, Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba Wireless IDS, Cisco network solutions,
Demonstrated collaboration, problem solving and creative thinking capabilities.
Ability to align business requirements into technical requirements.
Experience with Software Defined Data Center technologies a plus.
Orchestration and Automation experience to include scripting capabilities a plus.
Experience working with cloud providers specifically focusing on network connectivity.
Proficient in routing protocols OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
Expertise in L2/L3 technologies utilizing various platforms.
